You take the role of a batter and your objective is to launch the ball as far as you can. 9th Inning Baseball features two game modes: Arcade mode and Bottom of the Ninth. Select one of the modes and start playing. As the pitcher winds up, a marker appears, showing where the ball will pass you. Use your mouse to move the aim circle towards the marker. The closer you are, the straighter your hit will be. You can control the direction by moving the aim circle relative to the marker to hook or slice the ball. The red shape indicates which direction the ball will travel. To hit the ball up, aim below the marker. To hit it down, aim above the marker. After the ball is pitched, click to swing your bat. Time it correctly to hit the sweet spot. When you have hit the ball, your batsman will run to the first base. Click on the run button to run to the next base.
